Join us on a journey through purgatory with Dante. Along with Virgil, Mr. John Niemann will be our guide as we read and study Dante’s Purgatorio, the second part of the epic poem The Divine Comedy, one of the greatest works of Western Literature.

Mr. Niemann has over twenty years teaching experience at some of the best schools in the Twin Cities metro area including Trinity School, Eagle Ridge Academy and Chesterton Academy. Currently, he leads the Saint John Paul II Education Guild in Saint Paul and he teaches the junior and senior history courses at Mater Dei Apostolate.

This is a ten-session adult book study course that meets once per month from September-June. Cost is $50 per adult and includes beverages and light refreshments. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own copy of Anthony Esolen’s translation of Dante’s Purgatorio (The Divine Comedy).

Monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm, dates listed below. We meet at the Mater Dei education center located in the lower level of Holy Family Church at 2430 West 3rd Street in Duluth. Please park in the lower level parking lot on Second Street to enter into our main entrance. We hope to see you soon!
