- Visit our curriculum and course description page to make a decision on which Mater Dei courses your student wishes to participate in. Make a note of the course name; you will need to enter these on the Mater Dei registration form in step two and when you enroll online at Kolbe Academy in step four.
Registered students have the option to participate in Mater Dei courses virtually if desired. All fees and expectations remain the same for these students. No special designation or additional steps are necessary upon registration. All students whether virtual, in-person, part-time or full-time are required to participate in the Mater Dei community service project in-person, on the first Friday of each month.
- Fill out the form below to register for Mater Dei. Please note that students must be age 14 by September 1st of the current year in order to register as a full-time student. More information here. Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by Mater Dei administration to schedule a family interview and academic assessment. After the family interview and assessments, you will receive notice of acceptance in the Mater Dei education program.
- Read, print and sign the Student Service Agreement Form, Family Volunteer and Ambassador Agreement Form, Annual Community Service Consent Form, Uniform Policy, Personal Electronic Device Policy, Code of Conduct, Remote Learning Policy and Photo Release Form. Submit forms, along with registration fee payment, to Mater Dei Apostolate.
- If you are interested in transcript support, enroll online at Kolbe Academy Homeschool with the Full Time Flex Tuition option. When enrolling, select that you are part of a co-op, and then choose Mater Dei from the list to receive a discount on the enrollment fee. When selecting courses, list the Mater Dei courses your student is taking (chosen in step one). Experienced homeschool families: if you are confident in keeping your own records and generating your own transcripts and you are not interested in Kolbe resources or support, then Kolbe enrollment is not necessary. Please note that Mater Dei Apostolate does not provide record keeping or transcript support for courses. Enrollment with Kolbe is recommended.
- Be sure your student is registered with all the proper paperwork within your resident school district. In Minnesota, this must be done before October 1st. Information on the registration process in Minnesota can be found here. For convenience, the forms for Initial Report to the Superintendent (new homeschool families) and Letter of Intent to Continue Homeschooling (current homeschool families) are linked below. On the form, fill in N/A for the accreditation category. In accordance with Minnesota law, each family is its own homeschool/private school and accreditation is not necessary. Mater Dei Apostolate is a homeschool co-op, not an official school.
